Closing the Year of the Snake with Embodied Ritual

Today marks the final day of the Lunar Year of the Snake - a powerful archetype of transformation, sensual intelligence, and embodied awareness.
In both Eastern philosophy and Tantric practice, the Snake represents awakening, shedding, and inner alchemy. In Tantra, this energy mirrors the rising of life force - the slow, conscious movement from contraction into expansion.
As this cycle closes, it offers an invitation:
What are you ready to shed before the new year begins?
Here in Sydney, as we prepare for our upcoming Tantric Ritual Night on February 21, this question feels especially alive.
The Snake in Tantra & Embodiment Practice
In Tantra, the serpent is symbolic of kundalini energy - the dormant life force coiled at the base of the spine. When awakened through breath, presence, and conscious touch, it rises.
But before energy rises, something must be released.
Old patterns.Protective armour.Performance.Disconnection from the body.
The Year of the Snake has been about quiet transformation - not loud reinvention, but subtle, deep internal change.
Shedding is not dramatic. It is biological. It is embodied.
This is the foundation of Tantric embodiment work in Sydney - not performance, but presence.
What Are You Ready to Let Go Of?
As the lunar cycle turns, reflect:
Where am I still holding tension in my body?
What identity no longer feels true?
Where am I disconnected from sensation?
What would it feel like to soften instead of control?
Tantra is not about adding more.
It is about removing what blocks your natural aliveness.
In Sydney, many high-performing, driven individuals are beginning to seek embodied practices - not because they are broken, but because success without connection feels empty.
Shedding is refinement.
Tantric Ritual Night – Sydney – February 21
On Saturday, February 21, I will be holding space in Maroubra (Sydney) for our first Tantric Ritual Night of the year.
This evening is designed as an embodied ritual space for singles and couples - blending:
Breathwork
Guided connection practices
Sensory awareness
Conscious touch
Devotional presence
We will consciously honour the closing of the Snake cycle - creating space to release what no longer serves before stepping into the new lunar year.
These Tantra events in Sydney are intimate by design.
Not a party. Not performance. Not pressure.
A structured, guided, safe container for embodiment.
Only a few spaces remain.
Why Embodiment Matters
Embodiment is the practice of returning to sensation.
Feeling your breath. Feeling your spine. Feeling truth in your body instead of thinking your way through life.
In modern Sydney culture - fast-paced, ambitious, externally focused - this work is essential.
Tantra is not about sexuality alone. It is about awareness inside the body.
And awareness changes everything.
A Simple Closing Ritual for the Year of the Snake
Tonight, take 10 minutes.
One hand on your chest. One hand on your lower belly.
Ask: What am I ready to shed?
Write one sentence beginning with:
“I release…”
Then breathe.
That is enough.
As we move into the new cycle, the question is not whether change will happen.
It will.
The question is whether you will meet it consciously.
If you feel called to close this chapter intentionally, join us on February 21 in Sydney for Tantric Ritual Night.
Because shedding is easier in a held space.
And embodiment begins in the body.
